I have a musical career that resists easy labeling. I am conductor, composer, flutist and music teacher with over 20 years of professional experience My musical interests intersect in the daily acts of music-making that fill my life. I have been writing music ever since I begin playing it and my conducting and teaching work always draws me back to the pen. The cycle continues. My most discernible influences (I’m told) are Bach and Stravinsky. I like to write music that people will play, hopefully more than once.
I primarily write choral and instrumental chamber music, but more recently have been composing orchestral pieces. My music has been performed in venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and is garnering interest in wider circles all the time.
